Acronyms

Assalaamu alaikum, everyone.

I was thinking.. if anyone comes up with any cool acronyms or other tricks to help him/her to remember points, we could share them right here.

I tried to make one to help me remember the twelve etiquettes we were taught regarding answering the call of nature. It's not that great but you may find it useful.

CALLS CRABS GO

Conceal yourself in a hidden area
Awrah must be covered (lift clothing after squatting)
Left hand only when holding private parts
Left hand only when cleaning off najaasah
Sit while answering the call of nature

Clean yourself properly
Roadsides and shade must be avoided
Adhkaar said before and after
Bones and dung forbidden
Stagnant water must be avoided

Greetings are not for when answering the call of nature
Odd number of wipes (3 +)

Re: Acronyms

Bismillah

these are some my group members came up with:

Things that require gusl:

Every Stinky Skunk Moves After Death

Emission
Sex
Shahada
Menstruation
After
Death

The things that are required in salah [from the hadith of the person who prayed wrong]

Saying Takbeer Relaxes Brother's Regarding Promising Salah

Stand
Takbeer
Recite
Bow
Rise
Prostrate
Sit

Menstrual Blood with DR. THOD

Dark
Red

Thick
Heavy
Offensive odor
Doesn't clot

Things that require wudu

Make Wudu', Don't Pass Wind

Madhi
Wadhi
Urination
Defecation
Pass
Wind

Sitting Position

"Tawaruk before Tasleem, Iftirash inbetween"

Some people also used the word "rash" from iftirash, because it isn't as comfortable as tawaruk [for some] and it could give you a rash [in order to remember what the position looks like]...

Iftirash=If The Rash...

GO FIGURE. .oddly enough, it does help and we'll probably think of it during the test

Page 50

1. STAND...................................... "When you stand for the Prayer,

2. .TAKBEER ....................................say takbeer

3. ............RECITE FROM QUR’AN ..then recite what is easy for you from the Qur’aan

4. ......................................RUKOO’ then bow until you feel at ease in rukoo’;

5. STAND .........................................then raise your head and stand up straight,

6. .......DOWN TO SAJDAH ...............then prostrate until you feel at ease in sajdah;
7. ........................SIT .......................then sit with calmness until you feel at ease,
.................................................. .....and do likewise in all your prayers."

Re: Acronyms

I have trouble remembering all the points the scholars agreed upon so.....

The Scholars are in agreement of the impurity of FOUR things.

Remember WEBS:

Warm-blooded animals (not marine)- died without Islaamic slaughtering (maytah)
Excrement and urine of humans
Blood of animal when flows out excessively
Swine's flesh
