Qabeelah Sweaters!!!

Assalam Aleykum,


Here we go with the colors again, okay.

First, if we are going to wear it in the summer, then we are going to want a colour that is Summer Friendly(ie.white,baby blue,beige), and not maroon.

So, here is my proposal white or beige background with baby blue or turquoise lettering, it is brother and sister friendly, plus we can match it with jean skirts or jean pants for those that wear them.

We have to decide soon!!!

Wow there is a big difference in taste from Canada and the US. We had these colors (discribed above)in the 70's. If I wore this I would have to have long hair (pony tail), a purple van, a peace sign (hand signal) and use words like "hey duuude that's niiiiice, totally off the wall maaaan" then faint from the smoke coming out my van.

Sorry this is not meant to deter anyone, though just an opinion.

ok so picture this - a whole bunch of sisters and/or brothers showing up at a soup kitchen, or a hospital...wearing the Ansar Sweaters

if these sweaters are black or grey or navy....we'd look like hoodlums!

Beige sounds great BUT it will get dirty quicker than some of the darker options...we'll have to wash the sweaters more and then they'll wear out faster...something to think about inshallah. I like maroon with white lettering but the blue/black/navy with white writing would be nice as well. Put it to a poll and inshallah let the Qabeelat decide.

okay..so i agree with the summer friendly colours..but i unfortunately don't agree with the baby blue or whatever other colouring u mentioned...why:
BECAUSE we want the qabeelah name to be NOTICED. baby blue is not catchy with a light colour of background behind it.. i couldn't even read ur writing properly (i had to highlight it to make the background black!).
so...
if we were to have a light colour...we need a dark colour of text. does it make sense or is this all just makin sense in my mind?!!!

next point....i completely agree with siham al-lail....exactly what i was thinking: LIGHT UPON LIGHT!!!
a light colour like beige or white will be inviting...befatte7 el wish (lightens up the face) and its just a calm nice colour...

oh, but poll sounds good!! i'll try to do it asap..or someone else can get it done (workin on my resume:P)

i'm thinking:
1. beige with black writing - maybe maroon writing ..heh
2. maroon with beige writing
3. light gray with ..umm....maroon writing?
4. black with white writing - maybe outlined in maroon

lol...we can take out all the maybe maroons in the options if u wish

I agree, but i doubt any of the brothers are going to take the time to write a reply wither, so theres not much we can do about it

ok so attached are the 4 options

disclaimer:
1. the maroon isnt as rich as i'd like it to be....think nice maroon...maybe a bit darker... more brother-friendly...and also picture a beige less yellow than that.
2. the black i intentionally made not so black...cuz thats prolly how it be... i saw the samples.... not very rich
3. the beige...i couldnt get the right beige....but all u need to do is look at the mgear link Du'a posted

i also have another suggestion... if we have troubles picking colours

just like any "team" or "university"... whatever...they have 2 or 3 colours...and their sweaters or jerseys are usually any combo of these colours.... so i think if we pick two colours to be the signature colours for Qabeelat Ansar...then... we can have sweaters that are inverses of each other.... am i making sense?

Example: canada's soccer team: they could all red with white writing...or they could go all white with red writing.

We can do the same....so then that way... if u disagree with maroon with beige writing... you can go beige with maroon writing

Or whichever two colours we decide on

How's that sound?
