Super Beneficial Graffiti [GEMS]

Qabeelat Ansar's Usool al-Fiqh GEM Board

Post your favorite memories/GEMS from class here

I'll start...

~ The Story of AbuBakr Baqlani and Big Baba. "How's the Wife and Kids?" Why do you get angry when I claim that your Pope can have a wife and begets children while you expect me remain silent while you say the same lie against Allah? May you Perish, and may your claim perish.

~ "Conflict is in the mind of the beholder". Islam is perfect, your mind isn't. When the Sahabah didn't understand something, they would cry because Allah hadn't given them the tawfeeq to understand. Wa ma Tawfeeqi illah Billah.

~ Imam Abu Hanifa (ra) would pray 2 units of prayer when ever he didn't understand something. In his prayer, he would ask for forgiveness for the sin that blocked his understanding.

~ I don't know..."But" negates whatever was said before it. That means what was said before was a Lie. Try the Truth instead...Allahu Ta'ala A'lam.

~ Silence Speaks Louder than Words. The more knowledge one gains, the more you realize you know nothing and that Allah (swt) not you, is Al Aleem.

~ "I will say the truth, despite other's emotions about my argument." - Shaykh Ja'far Idrees

~ Any Justice found in man-made laws lies in their similarity to the Laws of Allah (swt).

~ If you follow the Qur'an and Sunnah you'll never get frustrated. If you are frustrated, you're fustrated because you don't know the Qur'an and Sunnah.

~ No matter what Test Allah gives you, you can bear it. If Allah (swt) has commanded it, you CAN do it. "No burden greater than you can bear" - this doesn't mean there is no burden, it just means it wont be greater than you can handle.

Jazakillahu khayran for initiating the gems, sister.

The colour scheme made them really easy to read, too.

Re: Super Beneficial Graffiti [GEMS]

What i found beautiful in the class, was when we learned how people could not make up there own religion without the PERMISSION OF ALLAH I thought that was amazing because for me i wonder what the problem is with other religions and just learning the reason is an undescribable feeling.

Cool Re: Super Beneficial Graffiti [GEMS]

One Ijtihad does not cancel out another ijtihad

Analogies (qiyas) cannot contradict or superseed the qur'an

THERE ARE FOUR LEVELS OF KNOWLEDGE:

1.UNCONSCIOUS incompetent: The person has no knowledge and he thinks he has knowledge (worst stage)

2.Conscious incompetent: The person doesn't know and he knows that he doesn't know.

3.conscious Competent: The person knows, and he knows that he knows

4.Unconscious Competent: The person gets so good, that he doesn't know how good he is.

*We're trying to aim for #2.

The rituals of success has been made fard in the deen

Patience is a virtue that you earn. The entire world becomes easier for the patient person.

The entire world becomes a punishment for the non-patient person because they get irritated over everything

Re: Super Beneficial Graffiti [GEMS]

Haram comes at different levels, so one act can be more haram than another. For example, a sister who doesn't wear a hijaab in suadi arabia, and one that doesn't wear a hijaab in America. The former is more haram than the latter.

Any act of 'ibadah (act of worship) must have proof (from qu'ran and sunnah) to be considered an act of 'Ibadah

Any act that is not 'ibadah is mubah(permissible to do or not to do) until proven otherwise.

So, 'Ibadah = guilty until proven innocent

Other than 'Ibadah = Innocent until proven guilty
