Reflections on TCE

Asalamu Alaikum,
I just got back from the first session of TCE in Sacramento. All the brothers and sisters who are taking the class can post their reflections of the class on here or even introduce themselves to fellow students.
Jazakallah Khair

Re: Reflections on TCE

Oops...I forgot to introduce myself...For those of you who don't know me, my name is Ahmed and I'm one of the AlMaghrib volunteers. This is my first AlMaghrib class and I'm VERY VERY VERY excited about it. InshAllah, this class will be of immense benefit to all of us and will be, as Shaykh Yasir said, a life experience.

P.S. Jazakallah Khair for everyone and anyone who helped bring AlMaghrib to Cali and Sactown in particular. May Allah bless you all.

Salam

Re: Reflections on TCE

salam everyone, as promised i am logging into the forum tonite. well my name is Alina (aka "lucky" number 19) and im from sunnyvale and qabeelat haadi. so far the class has been pretty cool alhamdulillah. the Sheikh is mashaallah very informed and keeps the class moving at a good pace... even though its a pretty long class i dont feel like it's drag, the course material is all very relevant and interesting. I have two gems that i want to share, but i dont know if this is the right thread....

Re: Reflections on TCE

Jazak Allah khair brother Ahmed for starting this thread. I think its a great idea to get to know each other better. Kind of on the lines of our 7-stage-group activity!
I think the class has been great so far... I hope everyone feels the same way Insha'Allah.
ARE YOU GUYS FEELING THE ALMAGHRIB VIBE YET??!!

By the way, this is Omar --> the guy everyone wants off the mic so the sheikh can start

Re: Reflections on TCE

salam ppl..
one of the biggest things that i got out of this class was TOLERANCE.. its amazing that the sahabas and the scholars had differences of opinions on certain issues but this did not change their love for each other one bit..

wallahu alaam
